Yesterday was another wonderful day at Immanuel Baptist Church, with great attendance, souls saved, and baptisms. Despite heavy rain in the morning, the spirit was vibrant and upbeat. In the service, I announced our upcoming special Sundays, which will be part of our spring program and will emphasize the theme “Go and Grow.” I am excited to see how our church grows spiritually and numerically in the coming weeks.
March 30: Missions Emphasis Day & Full House Sunday
We will have two missionary families with us on this Sunday, and each Sunday school class will represent the missionaries they support during the morning service. Church members will be responsible for filling their row in the auditorium, ensuring every seat in the building is occupied so we have a “full house!”
April 6: Family and Friends Sunday
The morning service will focus on bringing as many family members and friends to church as possible. Our evening service will be held outdoors, followed by a time of food and fellowship.
April 13: Back to the Bible Sunday and the Lord’s Supper
This Sunday, there will be an emphasis on the Bible as our foundation for everything. Each person in attendance will receive a copy of my new booklet titled Principles of Daily Bible Reading. During the evening service, we will have a special time observing the Lord’s Supper.
April 20: Easter Sunday
We will celebrate the resurrection of Christ with a special service. Every visitor will be gifted my book Standing Near the Cross.
April 27: Others Sunday and the Launch of the Good Neighbor Campaign
On this day, we will be highlighting our “Others ministries” as preparation for a strong continuation of growth and support throughout 2025. Also, I will be introducing a new ministry designed to facilitate outreach into the community: the Good Neighbor Campaign.
The month of April will be enrollment month, in which we will seek to double our Sunday school enrollment. Each class will be given specific goals for enrollment, attendance, and visitors.
I am grateful to be part of a church that is still advancing the cause of Christ. How wonderful it is to see the results of the Sunday School Revolution each week, with more souls saved yesterday as a result of our reach through the Sunday school! Let us be a part of reaching others with the Gospel, starting first with our family members and friends and then expanding to those in our communities. May we be challenged to continue to fill our Jerusalem with the Word of God.
Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine… – Acts 5:28
